Wedding Party is a Gothic Symphonic Doom Metal ensemble first started in the mid 90’s, reformed in 2022. In 1998 they released their debut album “Anthems” through MCM Music, Germany. Their single “War Memorial” was featured on the compilation CD “ Twilight Of The Gods Vol 2, The Gothic/Black Metal Collection” released in 1999 along with bands like Within Temptation, Tristania, My Dying Bride, Sins Of Thy Beloved and more. They disbanded in 1999 and after a long silence, they re-emerged in 2022 with three of the original members and subsequently released a single “Starlight” along with a Lyric video on October 28, 2022. On September 8, 2023 they released their second album “White Horse”, which includes a remastered version of the single “Starlight”, through independent label the House Of His Own Madness (the H.O.H.O.M.). The album is mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, Unisound, Germany and the title track, “White Horse” features Norwegian violinist Pete Johansen (Sins Of Thy Beloved, Tristania). They are currently based in the US and Sweden. At Light The Dark therefore som Swedish stand-in musicians will join them on stage.
